Oktoberfest Belfast 2016 last weekend falls on Halloween and We're going all out!!! With a spooky theme Oktoberfest brings all it's usual fun and entertainment with the added twist of horror and costume competition. Each night will have a winner so come along...


Costume Competition T&C's

​Attending the event in costume constitutes acceptance of these Conditions of Entry

Two competitions will be run...

1st on Friday the 28th October 2016

2nd on Saturday the 29th October 2016

To be entered you must be in the hall by 8pm, No entries will be accepted after the closing time 

Each Night will have 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th placed prizes

Entry is open to persons aged 18 or over - Oktoberfest Belfast employees are not eligible to enter

​Entry to the competition is free - However £3.50 entry must be payed to attend the event

Contestants may only enter one costume per night

Contestants must be willing to come in-front of the stage for judging

Group costumes will be considered as a single contestant

No profanity allowed on stage - Anyone who violates this may be disqualified from the competition

Management reserves the right to disqualify anyone for any reason

If you are removed from the premises for any reason you will automatically be disqualified

Contestants must be present for judging to win a prize


​Contestants are responsible for their own belongings - We are unable to provide a secure area for personal items and costumes -  We recommend bringing an assistant to help with belongings - free cloak room is available

The Promoter/Organisers will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained as a result of entering the competition and/or receiving, taking or using any Prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law

Contestants will receive no compensation for loss or damage of costumes or any other items 

​Wearing a costume to the event and being at the event before 8pm automatically enters you into the competition

Entering the Competition automatically agrees consent for you picture to be taken and used for publication and social media

Decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into, including in the event of a dispute

​Oktoberfest Belfast reserves the right to validate the authenticity and ownership of entries and to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process​

​Chance plays no part in determining the winner

​Any participant may be disqualified from the contest by official costume judges for failure to observe any of these rules. All decisions made by the judges are final

The winning image will be selected based on the creativity, originality and design of the costume they are wearing , as determined by the our compare and applause ruling. Entries will be judged on their merit, with the winner being chosen based by applause with the compare having the final judgement

​The value of the Prize is accurate at the date of commencement of the Promotion Period. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the Prize after that date. The Prize cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash at the event. The Promoter retains the right to substitute the Prize with a prize of equal or greater value

​There is no cash alternative to the stated prize, and the prize is not transferable to another person, session time, or location, and the prize is not refundable

​If the winners do not claim their prize it will be deemed to have forfeited - this can not be claimed after the event or by another person 

If the winner does not cash their cheque or in a case of loss Oktoberfest Belfast will not replace the cheque

Costumes can Not be violent, nude, discriminatory, unlawful, infringing, hateful, pornographic or sexually suggestive. If deemed inappropriate entry to the competition will be refused   

Costumes seen as offensive will be refused entry to the event. Management also reserves the right to eject anyone from the Premises on this basis

If the Entrant has any moral rights (or similar rights) in respect of the User Image that they submit, the Entrant consents to the Promoter using the User Image and Instagram handle from time to time in any way we wish (even if that use is contrary to those rights), including making material alterations thereto and exploiting them with or without attribution. Immediately on such moral rights beginning to exist, the Entrant waives those rights in perpetuity, to the maximum extent permitted by law. If any other person has moral rights in respect of the User Image that the Entrant submits, the Entrant must ensure that they agree to the above before the Entrant submits the User Image.  

Oktoberfest Belfast accepts no responsibility for entries not received for any reason, or for any difficulties experienced in submitting an entry

​The Promoter and its associated agencies or companies accept no responsibility for lost, late, stolen, damaged or misdirected entries

​If for any reason the Competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter/Organiser which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotional Game, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotional Game

​The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax liability incurred as a result of participating in this Promotional Game. Any tax liability arising as a result of accepting any Prize is the responsibility of the Winner

The Promoter/Organiser has no control over internet or mobile telecommunications, network lines, bugs, viruses or server problems, and accepts no responsibility for any problems associated with them, for whatever reason. Any photos/videos taken ​by other customers or attendees may be published without control of the Promoter/Organiser

We may require to take personal information and contact details of the entrants. This will be purely for records and tax purposes. If stated the information will not be passed on to promotional parties. Failing to supply this information may result in not being awarded the prize. 

If any act or omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter/ Organisers and which prevents the Promoter/Organisers from complying with these Conditions of Entry, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or any delay in performing its obligations and the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any applicable law) to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotional Game. Notice of any amendments will be published on the on the Oktoberfest Belfast Website and/or the Oktoberfest Belfast Facebook Page



​Oktoberfest Belfast reserves the right to disqualify any entry if it has reasonable grounds to believe you have breached any of these terms and conditions

​Our terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. Both you and Oktoberfest Belfast hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts

​Oktoberfest Belfast reserves the right to review and revise these rules from time to time without giving you prior notice
